Life and .......

This is the top of one of the hill above Gua Kelam in Perlis. In Gua Kelam there is a natural tunnel that will lead to a lake nearby. The journey in this tunnel will take eight hours, that is if you are not lost.

I took this picture because of the contrast. From the lush greenery to the dead stalks. Even though the surrounding is bubbling with life does not mean the trees are safe from death. This is a reminder for myself. The clear blue sky is just beautiful.

Tide of life

Our lives is so turbulence. The friendly cool breeze can suddenly turns into a tidal wave that engulf everything in its way. And as abruptly as it come, suddenly it can change back to the cool friendly wave that we miss so much. That's life. Full of colours and variation. That's exactly the ingredient that make the pie delicious.

Imagine our lives without challenge or problem. It would be dull to the core. Problems and tribulations are signs that Allah loves us. It is during those tidal moments that we remember Allah the most. In time of life or death, even the atheist will pray to Allah that he/she did not acknowledge before. It is the time when we go back to our fitrah or our original selves as Allah has created us. It is during this moments that we feel so small and helpless and in need of Allah's help.

No matter how beautiful a butterfly is, it cannot fly without the breeze. No matter how great we are we cannot live without the air. We are actually small and helpless. Always in need of Allah's guidance and helps.

Rest assure that Allah is always there for us. Always waiting for us to ask for help and guidance. We need to break the wall of arrogant that we build around us. Reach out to Allah and we will find peace and serenity. Be it in time of test or happiness, we are always in peace with our mind and soul for we know that we are not alone. Just feel it in your heart. It is warm inside there.

May peace be with you.

Spectacular view

On our visit to Gua Kelam, Perlis, we took a wrong turn and ended up climbing a hill. It was to our advantage because of the spectacular view up there. The view is simply breathtaking. I just had to take this picture. It looks like two sisters trying to communicate with each other. We can see the vast plain that makes Perlis a suitable place for planting padi. Subhanallah! Thank you Allah for creating this beautiful world for us to enjoy and preserve.

Our coral

This coral is reared by my husband. Watching the colourful coral and the few fish that grace it is a source of relaxation especially coming home from a hard day work. Home sweet home. Rumahku syurgaku.

A visit to Gua Kelam

Yesterday we visited Gua Kelam or dark cave in Perlis. Shown above is the ceiling of the cave. No artist can do such wonder. Its the work of nature. Nature always follow what Allah has prescribe for it. I have never been to a cave before. It is a completely whole new world with its own ecosystem. The cave is a former tin mining site. Didn't see any bat though. Hope to see more wonders in future.

Aiman and Ariff at Malacca

Who has the better pose between the two?

Visit Melacca 8.3.09

Out of the blue, my husband suggested that we go for an outing today (8.3.09). Sound a lot of fun but we have a problem. Our kids consist of two generation - first group consist of 14 years old and above and second group, Aiman, 4 years old. What Aiman find fun to do, the other would feel boring or too childish. And so is vice-versa. Solution? I suddenly think of Malacca, the place where I grow up.

Memory of Tok Wan taking me to Malacca town every evening after school, came back. I remember feeling gloomy in the bus on my way home from school one day because Tok Wan was supposed to go back to Kedah that morning. When I reached home, to my great suprise Tok Wan was still around. We went to Malacca town again that evening.

The whole family members had a great time. Aiman was infront of everyone on our ascend up St Paul Hill. Such energetic child. The view up there was spectacular. In the picture, behind my three kids is Menara Taming Sari. We were tired to ride it but we will come back some day. Aiman is not in the picture. And so is Ilman, my elders, who is having his final exam at in college that very moment.

Oopss... The date in the picture is wrong.

Ayam serama

This is a pair of ayam serama that we own. Still adolescent. We bought them when they were still toddlers. Let them roam the garden in the morning and evening, if there's someone to watch over it. The one on top of the pot is the female. The other one is of course a male. Together they make up a great couple.

Want to see other pets that we have? Wait for future entry. Enjoy our garden.

Aiman at PD

Aiman at PD. He loves the sand and the water. That was our family trip in 2007. Cute isn't he?
